MorcegoCMS es software libre creado bajo la licencia BSD, que permite "cualquier" uso de este, recomendando siempre la continuidad de este como BSD. De todas formas este tipo de licencia obliga (independientemente del uso libre o comercial del producto) a mostrar el copyright del producto.

Se permite su redistribución tanto en forma de código fuente como en forma binaria, con o sin modificaciones, con tal de que se cumplan las siguientes condiciones:
